A Stunning Antique Italian Sunburst, Hand Carved And Gilded Wood, 1700's

This is a trully stunning and rare antique Italian sunburst that dates from the 18th century. Discovered recently in Tuscany this exceptional sunburst - that was once an altar adorment - represents the rays of light coming out of a cloud [Heaven] with the Christ's initials. The sunburst is hand carved gilded wood that measures about 57 x 43 cm or 22.4 x 17 inches. This is a highly decorative ancient treasure that is in lovely antique condition with signs of ageing mainly seen in a gorgeous timeworn patina. It is exactly as I discovered it.
