Exceptional And Extremely Rare Baroque Crown Or A Bed Canopy, Italy, 1700’s

This exceptional and extremely rare Baroque baldachin was discovered in September of 2021 in the South of France. This is a large and magnificent antique Italian crown used as a bed canopy that originates from the early 18th century. It is made of metal except the orb [below the cross] which is a wooden sphere that was gilded in silver. The crown measures about 86 x 66 x 56 cm or approximately 33.8 x 26 x 22 inches and it is in lovely antique condition considering its age with signs of ageing mainly seen in a gloriously timeworn patina created by the passage of time. In my opinion this only brings forward its true beauty and splendour today. It is exactly as I discovered it. For the full condition please refer to the images!
